For kindergarten children the first thing we need to teach is how to hold a pencil correctly, then we move on to learning to write the alphabet, and then short words.
Later we start to teach sentences and punctuation and grammar becomes more important.

- Teach them to write their own name first.
- Apart from their name, I recommend teaching writing with or after basic phonics.
- Start by tracing letters.
- Teach them to put a finger width between words.
- Teach them to start a sentence with a capital and finish it with a period.
