6. Pronunciation is important, but it does not mean your child should only hear native English speakers. There are around 360 million native English speakers but around 1.5 billion people can speak English as such it is very useful to be able to understand different accents. Phonics practice should be based on native speakers of British or American English, but I recommend also listening to some more international (non native) English. This also means don`t worry about your own accent if you are a non native speaker as long as you follow my advice about listening daily then there will be no problem.

7, Everybody learns at their own pace, don`t panic if your child is not top of the class. (If you panic, it will cause a negative reaction).
